4. Travel back in time at the Al Hosn Festival

While there may not be a time machine (that we know of) that can take us back to when the UAE was established 50 years ago, we can learn and witness it live at the Al Hosn Festival! It’s a whole new and unique cultural experience that reflects Abu Dhabi’s heritage and dynamic culture and you can be a part of it!

Experience the art, design, dialogues, performances, crafts, and reenactments at the Festival held at Qasr Al Hosn. This year is a special one as the festival celebrates the 50th anniversary of the UAE through an entire programme. Grab a friend, a snack at the festival and enjoy what it has to offer from November 25 – December 4 from 4pm – 11pm.

3. Get a natural adrenaline rush at ADNOC Abu Dhabi’s Marathon

Even if the “diet starts tomorrow” staying active is an everyday task and since we’re all committed to that, you’re officially invited to be part of the largest community sports event in Abu Dhabi! Gyms can be boring so this event is levelling up and taking place on a course on the shores of the Arabian Gulf. BOUGIE!

It doesn’t matter if you’re a natural couch potato who runs to the fridge more than for exercise, or an avid marathon runner, the ADNOC Abu Dhabi Marathon is perfect for all levels. Start with a 2.5 km fun run with your family or challenge yourself to a 5km or 10km marathon. If you’re really up for the challenge, the 42.2km marathon will give you an amazing runner’s adrenaline rush, fueled by the cheering crowds!

The event is more than just the marathon as entertainment and children’s activities will be held throughout the race village.

The event starts from November 22 – November 26! Timings vary so be sure to check out the full event schedule, here!

2. Witness culture, lasers, fireworks, and art at the one and only Sheikh Zayed Festival

The much-anticipated Sheikh Zayed Festival returned and the whole community is loving it so far but wait until you see the events it has in store! This year it’s hosting a Glow Garden where the park will glow with breathtaking colours that’ll be just jaw-dropping for photographers and Instagram bloggers!

The Sheikh Zayed Festival will also brighten up the sky with weekly fireworks, put on a show with dancing fountains and break some records with fab lasers.

To mark the 50th anniversary of the UAE, the Festival will host a unique art exhibition that takes you on a journey of the past 50 years! But of course, the Year of 50 is a BIG deal and so the festival will also feature a variety of shows and events, including concerts, firework shows and traditional Emirati art shows that take place at all of the festivals pavilions. Mark your calendar for December 2 – 3 from 4pm – 12am to be part of the festivities.

The festival kickstarted on November 18 and will carry on until April 1, 2022! Ticket entry is priced at AED5; while children under 3 and elders over 65 can enter for FREE, as well as People of Determination!
