A Man Who Tried To Dodge The Police After A Hit-And-Run Has Been Arrested
Police in Abu Dhabi have arrested a man who fled the scene after causing an accident and then changed his car’s license plate to avoid authorities.
An investigation was launched and police were able to pinpoint the location of the 24-year-old.
The suspect was then arrested and the vehicle was then taken in custody
Driving away from the scene of a collision is illegal in the UAE and can result in an AED500 fine for light vehicles and an AED1000 fine for heavy vehicles.
The vehicle will also be confiscated for seven days.
