A woman living in Abu Dhabi filed for divorce after her husband forgot to pick her dinner.

According to a report in Al Bayan, the 20-year-old Arab woman was having difficulties in her marriage, but the last straw came when her husband, who was hanging out with his friends till 3am while she was home, forgot to pick up her order…a burger from a fast-food restaurant.

When he got home without the dinner, an argument arose that escalated to the woman storming out of their home.

The couple’s lawyer gave his statement to a local newspaper

Hasan Al Marzouki, an Emirati lawyer and legal consultant told the newspaper, “several couples need to be educated about having realistic expectations from married life. “

“The law stipulates that if there is no personal harm, couples are referred to a judge who will try to help them solve their problems. If the wife insists on the divorce, the post-marriage dowry will be voided,” he added.
