Top Global Brands Cut Ties With Kuwaiti Influencer After Controversial Video Goes Viral

Sondos AlQattan, the Kuwaiti infuencer who recently released a video criticizing the labor laws in Kuwait has received major backlash from people around the world.

After AlQattan’s video went viral, people began to question top brands and their partnership with an influencer having such views.

Three brands have decided to cut ties with Sondos AlQattan.

Chelsea Beautique, a London-based eyes and brows makeup brand also dropped the partnership once the controversial remarks were made

French perfume brand, M. Micallef cut ties with the influencer too

As per a report on Gulf News, a spokesperson said, “Max Factor Arabia was shocked by the comments made…regarding the new labor law in Kuwait. Max Factor Arabia is taking this incident very seriously and have immediately suspended all collaborations with Sondos.”

Other brands responded saying they deeply regret their relationship with AlQattan and that such behavior do not represent the core beliefs of their businesses.

Many top beauty brands, like MAC Cosmetics and Anastasia Beverly Hills are yet to comment on the issue and the future of their business with the influencer
