We recently reported that there were 250 accidents in Dubai on the first day day of Ramadan. Not only do situations like that affect those involved, but it also causes traffic jams and delays for the rest of us. However, the Dubai Police aims to minimise the disruption by offering access to all smart services through its app. This is how it helps.

1. It lets you report accidents

The map spots your location and all you need to do is click on the ‘report’ button. Note: it’s recommended you move to a safe location (side of the road) first. If additional details are required, the app will ask you to fill in those

2. The map gives you a quick view of accidents, police stations, hospitals and pharmacies around your area

3. Plus, it lets you pay your traffic fines, fees if your car has been impounded or get a traffic status certificate from Dubai Police
