An Extremely Rare Super Moon Lunar Eclipse Will Be Visible In The Dubai Skies This Week

EEekkk, an extremely rare super moon lunar clipse will appear over Dubai this week, and the Dubai Astronomers are gearing us up for something special.

This moon is a combination of lunar activities; an extra large super moon and a total lunar eclipse, and it will be visible over the UAE at moon-rise on January 31.

This can only occur when the sun, Earth, and moon are aligned at almost exactly the same time and the moon will appear larger than life to the naked eye, according to the group.

Dubai Astronomy Facebook page have set up an event to view the super moon lunar eclipse this Wednesday, and you know you’ll have a brilliant view if you follow this crowd.

The event is happening at Al Thuraya Astronomy Center in Mushrif Park from 5pm to 9pm and includes a lecture.

To join it costs AED 20 for adults

AED10 for kids
