Three Dubai-based chefs have done the city proud at the S.Pellegrino Young Chef competition 2016.

The Middle East and Africa regional round event, held at South African Chef’s Academy, had ten chefs battling it out in front of a panel of three judges. Each had to prepare a dish each which was then judged based on its ingredients, beauty, skill, genius and message.

Head chef of Ossiano at Atlantis The Palm, Grégoire Berger was crowned winner while chefs Michael O’Shea from The Ivy Dubai and Eka Mochamad from Bateaux Dubai came second and third respectively.

Chef Grégoire Berger will now complete for the final round of the S.Pellegrino Young Chef 2016 in Milan in October.
