If you were to take a guess about the busiest airline route in the MENA region, you’ll be forgiven to not think about Dubai-Kuwait being one of them!
But, as it turns out, a study by air travel intelligence firm OAG Aviation ranked the Dubai-Kuwait route on the 9th spot among the ‘World’s 20 Busiest Routes.’
Surprising, no?
Well, as per the study, the results took into account the frequency of the flights between March 2017 and February 2018.
As many as 15,332 flights and more than 2.7 million passengers flew in this 12 month duration.

The world’s busiest air route, however, is Singapore-Kuala Lumpur with more than 30,500 flights between the two cities from last year to this February.
According to the study, 84 flights flew between the two cities every day which takes about an hour.
The world’s second busiest air route is between Hong Kong and Taipei in Taiwan, with 28,887 flights, followed by the Jakarta to Singapore route with 27,304 flights.
