Dubai Now Has Driverless Cars And Here’s Where You Can Spot One

Avatar

Downtown Dubai has so much going on there – Burj Khalifa, The Dubai Fountain, Downtown Slide. Now there’s one more attraction to the list – the driverless cars.

The 10-seater pods, produced by Easy Mile and Omnix Company, will be used to take tourists on pre-programmed routes around the area. However, they can be reset to accommodate sudden changes. The battery-operated vehicles are also fitted with safety sensors to avoid any obstacles that come in its path. So there’s no need to stress about your safety.

They’ve started their trial run along a 700-metre long track

The collaboration between Emaar and Roads Transport Authority is a step towards making 25% of total journeys in Dubai into driverless ones by 2030.
