In a bid to promote students’ safety, raise awareness among pupils and bus drivers and secure traffic around schools, Dubai Police have launched special eco-friendly patrols. 

The initiative, which has been aptly named as ‘Schools Security’ is a part of Dubai Police’s overall plan to make roads around schools secure and to establish a friendlier relationship with children. 

Three police patrols with the initiative’s logo have been launched so far

The number of patrol cars will increase by the end of the year, as per Major General Abdullah Khalifa Al Merri, commander-in-chief of Dubai Police. 

“We want to create a new channel between schools and police. We will have an officer assigned to each school to guide the pupils, the school’s staff and parents and to communicate with them on their problems.”
