After months of guessing, and a couple of reveals, Dubai Stars has finally opened to the public.

A part of Dubai Downtown boulevard has been transformed, similar to the Hollywood Walk of Fame, the pavement is devoted to stars of the world, and has the capacity to host 10,000 stars.

Celebs and influencers at today’s event included the painter, photographer and sculptor Mattar Bin Lahej; former Al-Hilal footballer Yasser Saeed Al-Qahtani; comedian, actor, film producer, television presenter, and a renowned television personality Ahmed Helmy; actress Sonam Kapoor Ahuja; singer Balqees Fathi; playback singer, music composer and actor Muhammad Atif Aslam; actress Mona Zaki; and YouTuber Khalid Al Ameri.

Dubai Stars had a nomination process whereby the whole world could nominate their favourite stars – So far, 400 stars, media personalities, athletes, change makers and even influencers have a place on the soon-to-be-famous walk of fame
