Dubai to get a 325m base jumping tower that will emulate the ascent of Mount Everest

Just when you thought Dubai couldn’t get any more adrenaline pumped The Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat have suggested a new 325-metre base jump tower!

Yes, you heard that right! The proposal for a beachfront structure, to be home to base jumping, abseiling and climbing, is waiting approval. The lower levels of the tower will be home to children’s climbing walls and there will be a mid-level vertical cliff camping spot too.

The council have proposed an external hexagram skin to make a variety of extreme sports possible. The tower will emulate the ascent to Everest in the sense it will have multiple base camps, as well as the base jump platform.

We say: Let it be…we want to try all these adrenaline-fuelled activities as soon as possible!

What the tower might look like…
