Eid Al Adha Is On 12 September And It Could Mean A Long Weekend

Avatar

While Saudi Arabia and local media have reported that the first day of Eid Al Adha will be on Monday, 12 September, the UAE hasn’t announced holidays for the same.

Eid Al Adha is usually marked a day after Arafat Day – one where Muslim pilgrims stand on Mount Arafat as part of their pilgrimage. This year Arafat Day is on 11 September.

Most Dubai-based schools have announced their Eid break from 9 to 13 September which means private sector employees could possibly have the same days off. Government employees could have a six-day break which means they resume work on 15 September.
