Eid al Fitr has been and gone- with most of us enjoying the new holiday laws that were passed for the private sector.
So, with another public holiday just around the corner, it might be time to consider another staycation or a quick, out-of-country trip, since the International Astronomical Centre (IAC) in Abu Dhabi have just announced the potential date for Eid al Adha this year.
Drumroll, please….
The new moon of the lunar month of Zul Hijjah is expected to be on Sunday, August 11.
The confirmed date will officially be announced once Islamic centres can see the new moon through a telescope or blatantly through the eyes.
Both the private and public sector in the UAE are expected to have three days off from Sunday, August 11 to 13, depending on the moon sighting.
