The Eid Al Fitr holiday has been announced to the public and private sectors in the UAE.
In a tweet (that has since been deleted), the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR) stated that government employees will be off on holiday from 29th day of Ramadan (Saturday, April 30) until Shawwal 3. Which would’ve made the holiday last until May 3 or 4.
Government employees will be off from April 30 until May 8.

This means that the holidays will run until Tuesday, May 3, or Wednesday, May 4, depending on the moon sighting.
This came in a circular issued by the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation in the implementation of the Federal Cabinet’s decision regarding the calendar of official holidays.
