A warning to all the Indian expats living in the UAE was issued by the Embassy on Thursday.
The Embassy of India has warned its citizens against some some fraudsters who are tricking people into believing they represent the authorities here.
It shared a public notice on Twitter urging expats to be vary of these unknown callers.
In the message, the Embassy said these callers, calling from the number 02-4492700, ask victims to deposit money in various bank accounts in the name of the Indian Embassy.

The authorities are urging citizens to be careful of this scam and not entertain such calls.
