If you think that entrepreneurship cannot start from a young age, think again! Because these kids with their smashing ideas are going to convince you otherwise.
BizWorld UAE- a social enterprise that imparts entrepreneurial skills to children aged 5-14 recently concluded its KidPreneur Challenge in Dubai. The challenge entailed students from the UAE pitching their business idea to a panel of expert judges to win the grand prize of AED2,000.
The event, which was attended by over 50 people and held at Hamdan Innovation Incubator, was a huge success and the ideas they compiled are pretty extraordinary.
From the 10 finalists who pitched their unique business ideas, Team Gamebook, consisting of three siblings (ages 12-14) took home the grand prize after presenting their business idea through an ‘elevator pitch’ and facing questions from the judges.
Their novel pitch was about a subscription based service for exchange of books between kids in UAE.

This first of its kind challenge in the MENA region was handled by a group of extremely accomplished people from the UAE.
The judging panel was chaired by Nabra Al Busaidi, Executive Director, Young Arab Leaders, Ramzi Ghurani, General Manager, Petra Insurance Brokers – UAE and Wissam Younane, CEO, BNC Publishing (Entrepreneur Middle East).
“We organized the KidPreneur Challenge, which is the first of its kind in the entire MENA region, to encourage young people across the United Arab Emirates to pursue their entrepreneurial ambitions. We focused on this age group to reinforce the idea that by nurturing entrepreneurs at an early age they will grow up with the right entrepreneurial mindset to continue innovating and positively shape our future economy and community.”
