Expats Switching Jobs Or Applying For Their First One In The UAE Will NOW Have To Produce Good Conduct Certificate

Avatar

We told you a while back that expats switching jobs no longer have to apply for a good conduct certificate

But, as it turns out, the old rule has been revoked and it now covers all new work permits, including people switching jobs in the UAE.

Irrespective of your work length, it is now mandatory to obtain a good conduct certificate whether you’re changing jobs or seeking employment here for the first time.

According to Gulf News, every expat has to obtain the certificate of good conduct from the local police from June 1.

NOTE– If the employee has worked in more than one country before coming to the UAE, a good conduct certificate from each of the country has to be produced here.

This is only applicable to expats seeking job here and not their dependents.

Also, residents who were born and raised in the UAE but worked in a different country for a short time will also be required to present the certificate.
