The identities of the four people who died in Sunday’s Ferrari crash in JLT, Dubai have been revealed. One of the deceased is American university student, Victoria McGrath, who survived the 2013 Boston Marathon bombing.

Victoria McGrath died along with her roommate, Priscilla Perez Torres, both were on holiday in Dubai. The two women were killed in the same crash as Canadian boxer Cody Nixon, 24, and his cousin, James Protuondo, 27.

They were all travelling in the Ferrari 458 Spider when it hit a pavement then crashed into a lamppost in the early hours of Sunday.

Portuondo, McGrath and Torres died at the scene in Jumeirah Lakes Towers. Nixon died later in hospital.

According to a witnesses, the car had been travelling at around 140kph in a 60kph zone.

Victoria McGrath, 23, made headlines three years ago when she received severe shrapnel injuries to her left leg from the first of two bombs placed near the Boston Marathon finish line on April 15, 2013. Pictures of her being carried from the scene by a firefighter became some of the most iconic images of the terror attack.

McGrath, from Weston, Connecticut, was scheduled to graduate this spring from Northeastern’s school of business.

Torres, who was also scheduled to graduate this spring, went to Northeastern from Guaynabo, Puerto Rico, and was passionate about travel and working on issues related to nutrition and women’s health.

Our sincere condolences go out to the families of all that died.
