When we first heard about Google Duo‘s launch, our first step was to check its availability on the App Store and Google Play Store. 

It wasn’t there. 

In no time residents were using alternate accounts (such as the US App Store) to download the video calling app assuming it was going to be blocked by the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority.

But it’s officially here now…

The app is available on the Google Play Store and the UAE App Store. In fact it has been trending on the app store.

UAE users have started giving their feedback…

Some think it will be great for the UAE because services such as FaceTime are blocked. Other also say it’s a better answer to Skype and IMO.

Many are quite happy with the app…
