If
you’ve been to Abu Dhabi and have seen the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque then we
don’t need to tell you how beautiful it is.
What we do need to tell you though is that a replica of the
iconic landmark had made its home in Miniland, a part of Legoland Dubai. It was made
using 536,292 bricks and weighs around 1,323kg. The realistic rendition took
over 6,300 hours to complete. Those stats should be reason enough to pay a visit.
At the unveiling, Siegfried Boerst, general manager of Legoland
Dubai, said, “The Sheikh Zayed Mosque is not only one of the Emirates’
most important sites, but also a reflection of the UAE’s cultural values and
natural heritage.”
The park will open on 31 October and Miniland will feature
recreations of landmarks from the region.
