Dubai is celebrating a very important occasion on March 20 and is going ALL OUT to make International Day of Happiness memorable for both residents and tourists alike.
Hundred lucky peeps landing on March 20 at the Dubai International Airport will get free taxi rides to their destinations.
If you’re feeling lucky, you might just end up going kayaking for free at the Hatta Dam lake or get Nol cards and multiple freebies that authorities will distribute at Metro, bus stations, tram and taxi stands at the Dubai airport.
Or you can simply hop onto a ‘happiness bus’ that will take people to major tourist destinations like the Global village, La Mer and Dubai Parks and Resorts.
The goal is to spread joy, cheer, and turn government sectors into happiness hubs through these internal activities.
Yousef Al Rida, CEO of corporate administrative support services sector, spoke to Khaleej Times to inform that buses and taxis across Dubai will carry the Happiness Week logo.
“Internal events include distributing 1,600 chocolate cans with positive messages to employees, 2,500 Hala phone cards, meals to public bus drivers, and 600 payment vouchers to parking inspectors.
There will also be some events about happiness and positivity for employees of the public transport agency, and gifts to employees of customers’ happiness centre.
14 categories of employees and clients will be rewarded in a ceremony in recognition of their efforts to improve the RTA’s service offering.”
