NCEMA announced an update regarding the National Protocol for Educational Establishments, which is all about the resumption of activities and trips and more

According to the latest guidelines issued by NCEMA and the Ministry of Education, school activities and events in schools resume once again provided they comply with safety measures like wearing facemasks in closed spaces. With that being said, school trips can also begin to take place. Students must wear face masks on the bus. In addition, all students (vaccinated or otherwise), will be able to go on school trips as long as they have a Green Pass on their Al Hosn app.

If a student or faculty member tests positive for COVID-10, the educational establishment will close for 3 days, if the infection rate exceeds 15% of the total attendance. Those who come in contact with COVID positive cases, do not need to quarantine. Those who are infected and have respiratory diseases may opt for distance learning.

All university students must undergo a PCR test once every month to enter the dorms or follow the Green Pass protocol regardless of vaccination status

Green Pass will be mandatory for all visitors, along with students aged 16 and above, educational staff and personnel. While, for students aged under 16, a PCR test must be conducted every month.

Authorities clarified that the latest updates are applicable nationwide, while each emirate can implement their set of rules based on these guidelines.
