Dubai is a city that boasts some expensive number plates.
The money on two, three and four-digit plates can be pretty high but that doesn’t stop people from buying them. Especially if they’re obsessed with a ‘good’ one – this could mean fewer digits, numbers in series or numbers lucky for them.
If you’re one of them and have the cash to flash then listen to this. Next month, the RTA will be auctioning, for the FIRST time ever, a single digit plate at its 92nd open auction.
The event which will happen at JW Marriott Marquis Hotel Dubai on 8 October at 4.30pm will see the auction of the plate ‘D-5’, as well as 80 other two, three, four and five-digit plates.
The registration lasts for a week and can be done at RTA customer service centres at Umm Ramool, Deira and Al Barsha or online (www.rta.ae) or on the ‘Drivers and Vehicles’ smart app.
