It was just announced that Mawaqif parking services will begin in Al Ain starting this August.

The introduction of paid parking to Al Ain is to try and manage parking problems and regulations as a result of a rapid increase of new on-road vehicles.

The new parking meter will ease the scarcity of parking in some locations as well as reduce the misuse of current parking spots in Al Ain City. 

121 parking machines have already been installed

Painting new designated parking spaces as well as installing all the machines has already begun as the system is set to begin by next month.

The project is set to be introduced in Al Qasedah, Al Rabenah, Al Nawas, Al Hamirah and Al Salamah.
