Eid will most likely fall on 6 July and there is a huge possibility of a four-day break for the private sector. In the coming week, there will be some changes with regards to parking and transportation. Here’s a quick overview of everything you need to know.

Parking fees

The government has announced free parking for the Eid-al-Fitr holidays; all parking zones (except for the fish market and multi-level terminals) in Dubai will be free of charge from Sunday (3 July) to Friday (8 July). Normal fees will resume from Saturday (9 July).

Dubai Metro

On 5 July and 7 July:

Red Line stations will operate from 5.30am to 2am, while the Green Line stations will operate from 5.50am to 2am

On 6 July:

Red and Green Line stations will operate from 5.50am to 2am

On 8 July:

Red and Green Line stations will operate from 10am to 2am

Dubai buses

From July 6 July to 7 July:

Gold Souk station will operate from 5.20am to 12 midnight

Al Ghubaiba Station will operate from 5am to 12 midnight

Al Qusais and Satwa stations will operate from 5am to 12 midnight, except Route C01 (it will operate around-the-clock)

Al Quoz Industrial Area station will operate from 5.30am to 11.30pm

Jebel Ali station will operate from 6am to 10.15pm

Metro feeder service stations such as Rashidiya, Mall of the Emirates, Ibn Battuta, Abu Hail, Etisalat, and Burj Khalifa Dubai Mall will operate from 5.15am to 1.10am 

Dubai Tram

From 5 July to 7 July:

It will operate from 6.30am to 1am 

On 8 July:

It will operate from 9am to 1am

Abra

Abras at Dubai Creek Stations (Al Ghubaiba, Al Sabkha, Baniyas, and Dubai Old Souk) will operate from 10am to 12 midnight

The blue (electrical) abra at Burj Khalifa will operate from 6pm to 11pm

Abras at Al Mamzar will operate from 2pm to 12 midnight

Abras at Atlantis will operate from 1pm to 9pm

The air-conditioned abra at Al Jaddaf will operate from 7am to 12 midnight

(All service providers and partner centers will be closed from July 5 to 7)

Dubai marine stations

From 5 July to 7 July:

Water Bus at Marina Stations (Marina Mall, Marina Walk, Marina Terrace, and Marina Promenade) will operate from 12 noon to 12 midnight

The Water Taxi:

Al Ghubaiba Station will operate from 4pm to 10pm

Dubai Marina station will operate from 2pm to 10pm

Dubai Ferry:

Al Ghubaiba and Marina stations will operate (during Eid holidays) from 11am, 1pm, 3pm, 5pm and 6.30pm
