A mobile clinic, Pink Caravan, will provide women with free check-up services for breast and cervical cancer in different cities across the country.
The first of its kind in the region, the mammography caravan, costed AED15 million to build and it will drive across the UAE to give specialised services to women.
Starting it’s route in Sharjah on February 28, the Pink Caravan will hit different cities and stop its journey in Abu Dhabi on March 6.
Over the past seven years, the pink caravan offered free specialised check-ups that costed almost AED24 million to more than 48,000 people – around 32,000 were expats and 16,700 were citizens.
The campaign was called “7 years…for 7 Emirates.”
February 28 – Sharjah.
March 1 – Fujairah.
March 2 – Dubai.
March 3 – Ras al Khaimah.
March 4 – Umm al Quwain.
March 5 – Ajman.
March 6 – Abu Dhabi.
