Ramadan Working Hours Have Been Announced For Both Public And Private Sector

The UAE’s working hours during Ramadan have been confirmed, by  The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation this week. 

Public sector will operate 9am-2pm on weekdays, while private sector staff will see a reduction of two hours per work day. 

School timings will not exceed five hours per day. 

The rules apply to all Muslims and non-Muslims in UAE companies, and are enforceable by law.  

Violations to the Ramadan working hours can be reported to the Ministry of Labour by calling 800 665.

Ramadan is expected to begin on Saturday, May 27.
