Only in Dubai will you get the luxury of renewing a license while waiting for a flight to Micronesia. Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) just announced the launch of a new service outlet in Terminal 1 at the Dubai International Airport.

Eye-testing is the most important procedure in the renewal process and must be carried out in the city prior to renewing the license at the airport

The service will begin later this year and will be available from 08:00 am to 08:00 pm. From 2023, the service will be available 24/7. The initiative is for departing travellers as well as airport staff and aims to satisfy customer needs.

This is a part of the RTA’s efforts to “enhance social responsibility, simplify customs procedures and support the Dubai Government’s drive to engage the private sector in delivering services to all community members”.
