You Can Now Rent Out A Fancy Private Abra And It Works Out Pretty Cheap

A traditional abra is a wooden boat that ferries people back and forth from the Old Souks to Bur Dubai for just AED 1.

And while these dirham boat journeys may be one of the few untouched, affordable and still enjoyable activities the city has to offer, now the RTA is offering up a very Dubai alternative. You can now rent an updated, motorized abra, still laid out in the original abra design, and have a totally private trip.

The boat can fit up to 20 passengers, including passengers with disabilities and the new abras meet the highest safety and security standards.

The RTA tweeted the information earlier today

How much will it cost?

AED 580 per hour (Divided by your twenty friends, works out at just under AED 30 per person)

AED 5,100 per day

AED 151,800 per month
