Wow! what an amazing picture with a huge meaning behind it. This afternoon Sheikh Mo shared a picture of his younger self on the Empire State building back in the ’60s…it was the tallest building in the world at the time. He tweeted the picture with the (translated ) caption:
“With my dad in New York during the 1960s. In the Empire State building the highest skyscraper in the world.. And the beginning of a dream turned reality in Dubai”
It comes after the announcement that Dubai would be building The Tower, which will be taller than Burj Khalifa, the current tallest building in the world.
The picture was taken when Sheikh Mohammed’s father H.H. Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum was the ruler of Dubai (from 1958 to 1990). We have a feeling that Sheikh Mo already had BIG plans for Dubai back then!
