The bridge will have a pedestrian crossing along with six lanes in each direction. It will extend about 295 metres, of which 150 metres will be over the Dubai Creek.
It also rises 15.5 metres above the water level, which would allow various types of boats to pass under the Creek. The highlight of the bridge, however, will be its iconic design featuring the architectural arch shaped in the form of the mathematical symbol for infinity.
About 2,400 tons of steel will be used in the construction of this bridge.
