Survivors of EK521 Crash to Be Given Around AED 26,000 In Compensation

Avatar

An Emirates flight crash landed at Dubai international Airport earlier this month. The flight was travelling from Thiruvananthapuram to Dubai and caught fire but thankfully all 300 passengers and crew members on board survived the incident.

The airline has offered around AED 26,000 (US$ 7,000) in compensation…

While Emirates issued a statement saying they were offering financial assistance to passengers, the amount wasn’t disclosed. Some passengers have confirmed they received emails from Emirates on Tuesday informing them of the above mentioned amount as compensation per person. Not all passengers have received the emails yet.

Due to restricted access to the aircraft because of pending investigations…

The financial assistance includes support for lost baggage as well as medical and incidental expenses. The airline is also refunding tickets.
