UAE Employees in the public sector will have five working hours during the Holy Month of Ramadan, as confirmed by The Federal Authority for Government Human Resources on Thursday.
All ministries and federal agencies will work five hours, with hours starting from 9am and ending at 2pm- with the exception of the type of work that might need extra hours of operation.
This announcement follows the recent one made for those in the private sector, whose usual working hours will be reduced to two hours less.
Ramadan is likely to begin on May 6, according to The International Astronomical Centre.
