Probably every kid who has ever watched cartoons has wished they could get a robot friend and Dubai is about to make their dream come true.
As part of the innovation month in Dubai, this initiative by Ministry of Finance will help children build their very own robot and an artificially intelligent cartoon character.
This futuristic workshop will be held at a family-based event at Rise Dubai Creek Harbour on February 23 and 24.
How it works is that every child is given a DIY-box of robotic kits that will enable them to make their very own robot to take home.
Another feature of the workshop is that the children will be encouraged to build their robotic friend using recycled material around them.
They will also receive help in programming their AI character so that they can interact with it.
The purpose is to help children progress skills like: analytical thinking, problems solving, prototyping and more key parts of science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
Open for kids aged between seven and 13-years-old, each session will be 45 minutes apart.
