Because gone are the days were a bucket of popcorn (with a few M&M’s thrown in) and large cup of Coke were enough to see you through the latest block-buster! Reel Cinemas, in partnership with big-time property developer Nakheel, have just announced that they are building a movie theatre in a restaurant.

The five-screen fancy-pants cinema is going to be built in the soon-to-be new waterfront mall The Pointe, which is costing a whopping AED 800 Million to build and is due to open by the end of this year.

The restaurant/cinema will offer everything you’d want from a top-of-the-range cineplex and will offer a range of “culinary delights that will enhance the movie-going experience for all members of the family”.
