Rubber Necking At Accidents Could Get You An AED1,000 Fine Thanks To The New Traffic Rules

Avatar

With new laws being implemented in Dubai, including the laws regarding passengers being required to wear seat belts, more than 1,200 drivers have already been booked in July.

And the latest law may see plenty more fines issued, with one of the new laws being an AED1,000 fine for rubber necking when driving past accidents.

The law, obstructing or blocking roads during accidents will see drivers slapped with the fine.

The term relates to drivers craning their necks to observe what has happened at an accident on the side of the road – which can create huge delays on arterial roads in Dubai.
