According to experts, Typhoon Soulik is packing winds of 115 mph—equivalent to a Category 3 hurricane, and is the most immediate threat to Japan’s Amami Islands before riding up South Korea’s west coast between Thursday and Friday.
It’s been advised to keep a close eye on local alerts and any evacuation orders. Basic services such as electricity, clean drinking water, transportation etc may be unavailable on the island for several days.
