You Might Not Need To Visit A Police Station To Report An Accident

What happens when you have a minor accident in Dubai?

You head to the nearest police station or you use the app to report the case. There are times when the queues at the police station are too long or maybe the app won’t work because you have no data available. Very soon there’s going to be a way around this.

You will be able to report minor accidents at Enoc petrol stations…

For this, the Al Rashidiya police station will train around 15 Enoc employees, for approximately three months, to report minor traffic accidents on the Dubai Police smartphone app. During the training phase, there will always be a police officer at the station to ensure the process is being followed correctly.

The initiative will be first tested out in three Enoc stations…

These are the Al Wasn station (Tripoli Street), Al Yamamah station (MBZR road South bound) and the Bypass Road station (MBZR road North bound). The decision to start with these is primarily because most minor accidents occur on the roads near these stations.

Staff will wear a reflective yellow vest with the Dubai Police logo on it so drivers can easily identify them at the stations.

If successful…

This initiative will not only help reduce the number of visitors to the police station but can also be applied to other stations around the city.
