Dubai charities continuously offer aid to Syrian refugees and send supplies to the war-torn country and seeing this has moved a teenager in Dubai to do the same.
Saher Kapadia is a 16-year-old student at the Raffles World Academy and she has managed to fill a whole truck with supplies for Syrian refugees in need – she gathered food, winter clothing and school supplies.
Along with the help of Emirates Red Crescent, she managed to plan and host the initiative to help refugees residing in Lebanon through a charity drive that lasted for a month.
Kapadia, along with 15 other students, also started the Happiness Letter Project in which they became pen-palls with Syrian refugees.
They would write thoughtful messages to remind the refugees that they are not alone and will always have support. And the refugees would write back to them.
