The incident took place at 7pm on Thursday evening in the Barsha area. The lion was said to have escaped from it’s owners home, and it has now been placed in Dubai Zoo out of harms way. It is in fact illegal to have lions as pets in Dubai, however numerous sightings indicate it is not too uncommon an occurance.
