1. Rides and Attractions Host: ‘So you are going to pay me to operate roller coasters?’

If books haven’t been your thing and you’re out and out a people’s person, you will love this role. With no degree qualification required, the profile requires you to operate rides, assist guests on and off them, manage queues, deal with customer complaints and most importantly be an ambassador for the parks by providing visitors with the right information. Make sure to impress them with your communication skills should you be called for an interview.

2. Guest Relations Host: ‘People, fun. I got this’

If you
have anything between one to three years of experience in a service-related
role, this one is for you. You could be asked to serve guests at different
points including ticketing kiosks, VIP lounge or the contact centre. Just
remember: you need to have good communication, organisational and listening

In this role your key duty is to provide support to the CEO to ensure a comprehensive service is delivered to the business. You will be in charge of developing and implementing procurement strategies and initiatives as well as working towards sourcing, purchasing and tendering to ensure cost saving and value for money. You better have a Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of seven years’ experience to boast along with a good understanding of local laws.

Think you can fix some creative concoctions and at the same time interact with guests and manage stuff behind-the-counter? Remember: managing a website, e-commerce operations and digital marketing are the core tasks of this role. Keep in mind though that you’re required to have a minimum of five years’ experience on e-commerce portals as well as thorough knowledge of tools like Google Analytics, Omiture and Open web.
