Burj Khalifa Lit Up In Anticipation Of The First Emirati Mission To Space

Avatar

The world’s tallest tower, Burj Khalifa, has been a busy bee this year.

On Tuesday night, the skyscraper honoured the first Emirati astronaut, Hazza Al Mansoori, ahead of the UAE space mission.

Anticipation has been rolling for residents, expats and the entire Middle East- with trending hashtags that wish the astronaut the best of luck on today’s journey.

September 25, 2019 will forever go down in history- a first for any Arab to journey to the International Space Station (ISS)

The tower’s LED displayed AlMansoori’s name and the mission

The clock is ticking, only a few hours left (as this article was written) until the launch of the Soyuz MS-15 to the ISS.

Here, Hazza Al Mansoori’s children are seen waving him a goodbye

So sweet.
