Imagine returning home after a long, exhausting day to find a tortoise in your garden. Yep, a tortoise!

Indian expat Manu Mahdi was pretty shocked on discovering that this 50kg creature had made their garden his home. It has been three days that the tortoise has been staying at their Umm Suqueim villa and Mr. Mahdi is playing good host by feeding it lettuce, hay and kale. 

He says he has no idea what to do with it as his calls to rescue groups have been of no use. Apparently they do not rescue tortoises, though animals that have been rescued from residential areas in the past include a lioness.
