Is Dubai Global Village Worth A Visit?

Avatar

The Dubai Global Village has it’s fair share of critics. Locals consider it a tourist trap and many live here for years without making their way to what claims to be one of the world’s largest tourism, leisure and entertainment venues (maybe that’s why people stay away? – ed). That being said, tourists love it (it’s one of Dubai’s top rated attractions on Trip Advisor) and it’s a great place to experience a small bit of culture from a tonne of countries all in one evening.

We came across this video created by local vlogger Fazrul Ikraam, who spent an afternoon there and has shared what he found. Despite the video’s questionable choice of music, it gives a good insight into what a few hours at an attraction that hosts over 5 million tourists every year would be like.

Now that you’ve watched the video, perhaps you can tick the box and tell people you’ve been there?

If you do decide to make a trip, here’s what you need to know:

It’s open 7 days a week. From Saturday to Wednesday from 4:00pm-12:00am, and opens until 1:00am on Thursday, Friday, and public holidays. Entry costs AED 15. You can get a local bus from Union Metro Station number 103.
