A nine-year-old girl was run over in an accident that took place last night in Sharjah.
The girl, who was accompanied by her mother, suddenly ran across the road from an undesignated pedestrian area on Monday evening.
The driver was unable to swerve in time and hit her
The girl sustained moderate injuries and is currently in hospital for further treatment.
