In a one of its kind initiative, the government employees from various countries have gotten involved in ‘Government Games’, the first day of which took place at Kite Beach in Jumeirah on Wednesday.
What was special about day one, however, was the presence of HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council, who was spotted cheering on and encouraging the women participants.
As many as 1100 participants from 150 teams across eight countries (US, UK, Canada, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Thailand and Nigeria) will compete with their UAE counterparts for over 10 obstacles to win the grand prize of AED2 million.
The four-day competition, which will culminate on May 12, not only promotes teamwork but will also boost confidence, interaction, and commitment among team members to achieve success.
