The Dubai cycling community prides itself on Safety. There is even one group called Cycle Safe Dubai. So reckless behaviour is not tolerated. The purpose bulit tracks in Nad Al Sheba or in Al Qudra are designed to that there are no interruptions by cars or other vehicles, just cyclists. If you have an accident, it’s because another cyclist has done something silly or you have yourself. When this cyclist parked his / her car with the bike rack crossing over the track, people were not happy. Cyclists would have to swerve quickly to avoid a serious incident.
