Why LACOSTE Should Be Part of your Elegant Dubai Summer

Should you be discussing the words tennis, elegance and summer in the same sentence, there’s a good chance that the word LACOSTE is going to pop up.

And it has done since 1933, dating back to that first and timelessly iconic LACOSTE L.12.12 polo shirt, which spearheaded the journey of high fashion into sport. But classic pieces like that don’t come easy, René Lacoste worked on 12 attempts to perfect it, unveiling a new fabric that would set a fresh platform for performance and sporting style: the breathable and unruffled petit piqué.

Fast forward 83 years and this legendary design, with its clean monochrome aesthetic, is the inspiration for the new LACOSTE L.12.12 footwear collection. The new shoe pays homage to René’s innovation, by using the breathable luxury of the piqué, as well as featuring punched detailing and net. There’s also a nod to his style on and off the court, through the aesthetic of the shoe and it’s luxury fabric.
