The UAE is back on high alert after authorities detected cases of the new strain of COVID-19 from individuals landing in the country from abroad.
The news was revealed in the weekly COVID-19 media briefing on Tuesday evening, December 29.
In the last week, December 23 to 29, more than 900,000 tests were conducted nationwide, and the number of confirmed cases was 8,491.
In light of the emergence of the new strain of the coronavirus in Britain, and in conjunction with the continuous investigations by the health sector, it has been proven that there are limited cases in the country … received from abroad.
Adding to that, Dr Omar Al Hammadi, the official spokesperson for the UAE Government stressed the need to adhere to all precautionary measures to stay safe. Especially as we’re just a day away from that time of the year when people go all out to celebrate and indulge in gatherings.
